Dr. Jason Wong
Dr. Jason Wong is originally from the Pacific Northwest, growing up in Vancouver, Canada. He has since worked his way across the United States, graduating from the University of California at Berkeley with a B.A. in English, followed by obtaining his D.M.D. degree from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine in Boston. After graduating dental school, Dr. Wong then completed a hospital-based general practice residency at Long Island Jewish Medical Center in New York, where he developed a passion for periodontics and dental surgery. He then moved to Nashville, Tennessee, where he practiced general and implant dentistry before moving to Florida to complete a three-year periodontal surgical residency at Nova Southeastern University. During his time at NSU, Dr. Wong served as the chief resident of the periodontology department and completed his master’s thesis on the effects of probiotics on dental implants. Following this second residency, Dr. Wong worked in private practice at a multi-specialty dental office prior to joining the team at Palm Beach Periodontics.
While Dr. Wong is trained in the latest techniques for periodontal and dental implant surgery, he is still committed to staying on the cutting edge of dental medicine. He is a member of the American Academy of Periodontology, the American Dental Association, the Florida Dental Association, the Florida Association of Periodontists, and regularly attends continuing education courses to provide optimal results for his patients. He is also committed to giving back to the dental profession and staying involved in academia by serving as a faculty member in the Department of Periodontology at Nova Southeastern University.
When out of the office, Dr. Wong enjoys spending his time travelling, cooking (and eating), and spending time with his dog, Izzy.
